November: A month of Gratitude

November at Agape Star Christian School, under the banner of Barnabas Legacy Children’s Dream Foundation, is always a special time; a chance to pause, reflect, and celebrate the ways God’s faithfulness has carried us through the year. This year, our thanksgiving wasn’t just about milestones; it was about honouring the journey and the One who guided every step.

Joy & God’s provision in every detail!

Remembering isn’t passive; it’s a deliberate act. As we gathered for our Thanksgiving and top class graduation ceremony, we looked back on how God began the year with us. From welcoming 204 students at our peak, to the timely arrival of five new Christian teachers, every need was met. Salaries were paid, children were fed, and promises were kept. Our celebration became a testimony, an ‘Ebenezer moment’, declaring, “Thus far the Lord has helped us.”

Wednesday 20th November, was a day to remember. The morning started with anthems and worship, filling the air with gratitude. Our students, dressed in their best, showcased not just their talents but the transformation in their lives. Each performance was a living testimony to the eternal impact of investing in a child.

Honouring excellence and faithfulness

Our graduating top class students stood before us, no longer timid beginners but confident graduates. Each received a certificate and a special gift, symbols of our prayers and confidence in their future. Academic excellence was celebrated, with the best-performing students from each class receiving awards. We remembered the early mornings, dedicated teachers, and supportive parents who made these achievements possible.

Leadership was also honoured, with outstanding prefects recognised for their integrity and service. Their example reminded us that true leadership is about serving others, just as Christ did.

Voices that unite us and gathering with purpose

A representative from the Parents Committee spoke, highlighting the partnership between home and school. Their gratitude echoed throughout the room, reminding us that our community is knit together by God’s love. November brought us together in unity. Parents and school leaders met to pray and plan for our children’s future, recognising that each child is a gift entrusted to us. Prefects reflected on their leadership journeys, showing that God can use anyone willing to serve. Our teachers gathered to review the year and prepare for the next, knowing that teaching is a ministry and every lesson is an opportunity to reveal God’s truth.

Building for the future

One of this month’s miracles was the completion of our new kitchen facility. What started as a dream and a prayer is now a reality, standing as a daily reminder that God cares for every aspect of our children’s lives. Every meal prepared here will nourish bodies, minds, and spirits. We look forward to sharing more on this with you early in the new year.

Thanking our village and looking forward with faith

God’s love has been made visible through so many faithful partners. To our international family in Fiji, Australia and New Zealand, your prayers, generosity, and belief in our mission have crossed oceans and bridged cultures. We remember you with gratitude.

To our dedicated teachers, parents, guardians, friends, and family near and far, your support, encouragement, and prayers have been vital. Every act of love, no matter how small, is part of this testimony.

As November closes and we look ahead to a new season, we choose to remember. God’s faithfulness in 2025 gives us confidence for 2026. Every support given, asset purchased, meal served, prayer prayed, and lesson taught is a stone of remembrance declaring that God is faithful.

As we enter the final month of the year, our prayer is simple: “Lord, help us remember your hand in every moment. As we recall your faithfulness, increase our faith for what’s to come in 2026 and beyond.” God’s love compels us, yesterday, today, and forever.
