Community
Having our Parents and Guardians involved is very important for us at Agape Star Christian School. We also prioritise getting around our parents/guardians and supporting them when needed.
We are grateful to the parents/guardians who volunteer at the school. They help us keep everything running smoothly and ensure our teaching and non-teaching staff can get on with what they do best.
Parents/Guardians contribution
The Agape Star Christian School’s (ASCS) Management Team agreed to have our parents and guardians take a small responsibility towards their children as they get to school to learn. It was agreed upon that all parents/guardians would bring three kilograms of sugar, three toilet papers and a sweeping broom at the start of each term.
The children are provided with a morning tea porridge dish with some sugar and a moderate lunch meal, which is good for their wellbeing. Children can maintain their body hygiene. The school’s compound is always kept swept and clean.
With great pleasure, parents/guardians positively respond and turn up in good numbers at the start of each term with these items. Well done to our parents/guardians for the continued spirit of unity. Also, some parents continue to help look for firewood, which helps cook children’s food at school.
Parent Teachers Committee
In early February 2024, a team of representatives from parents/guardians, teachers, and non-teaching staff was elected and given the responsibility of helping to ensure the smooth administrative running of Agape Star Christian School. Each member has a role to play and is willing to support. Two parents/guardians (Betty and Rose) are responsible for assisting the school on behalf of parents and with different tasks; they do a great job.
